Clos Saint Michel is situated in the village of Sorgues on the road to Chateauneuf du Pape. The estate has been in the hands of the Mousset family for 60 years and the business today is run by Franck Mousset alongside his brother, Olivier, both 4th generation wine makers. Made from a blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah, all taken from old vines, Mathilde Côtes du Rhône 2021 delivers aromas of ripe blackberries, violets, and a hint of cracked pepper. The palate is silky yet structured, with layers of dark plum, cherry, and subtle spice. Balanced acidity and soft tannins lead to a smooth, elegant finish. Approachable and effortlessly charming.
